Ingredients
  • 1 large kamote (or sweet potato) (sliced 1/2-inch thick)
  • 1 cup cooking oil (for deep-frying)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
Instructions
  1. In a skillet over medium heat, add cooking oil.
  2. Once the oil is hot, carefully drop kamote (slices) slices into the skillet. Move the pieces around, flip and cook each side for 2 - 3 minutes. Continue frying until you’ve cooked all the kamote slices.
  3. Remove all the kamote pieces from the skillet and set aside.
  4. Add brown sugar into the skillet and let it melt.
  5. Once melted, add fried kamote slices into the skillet and fry for about 5 minutes or until it’s fully cooked. Flip kamote slices once in a while to allow the melted sugar stick to the slices.
  6. Remove fried kamote slices from the skillet. Let it cool down and enjoy!
