Malaysian-Style Half-boiled Egg
Half-boiled eggs are a popular dish in many parts of the world, and for good reason. They are easy to make, delicious, and packed with nutrients.
To make a half-boiled egg, you will need an egg, a pot, and some water. Begin by filling the pot with water and bringing it to a boil. Once the water is boiling, gently lower the egg into the pot using a slotted spoon. The egg should be placed in the water with the pointed end facing down.
The cooking time for a half-boiled egg will depend on your preference for doneness. For a soft-boiled egg, cook for 3-4 minutes. For a slightly firmer egg, cook for 4-5 minutes. Once the egg is cooked to your liking, carefully remove it from the pot with a slotted spoon and place it in a bowl of cold water to cool.
Once the egg is cooled, gently tap it on a hard surface to crack the shell. Peel the shell off, and the half-boiled egg is ready to be eaten. It can be eaten plain, or with some salt and pepper for added flavor.
Half-boiled eggs are a great source of protein, and contain vitamins A, D, E, and K. They also contain minerals like calcium, iron and zinc. Eating half-boiled eggs can help support healthy bones, brain function, and overall health.
In conclusion, half-boiled eggs are a simple, delicious, and nutritious dish that can be enjoyed for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. They are easy to make and can be seasoned to suit your taste. And all this make it a perfect dish to keep your health in check.
