Beef Broccoli is probably one of the most popular Asian dishes that you can find nowadays. Every Asian cuisine has its own version of this delicious dish.

I love this recipe because it’s very simple to make and it’s super healthy. Load it up with greens to get your dose of veggies in one serving.

  • In a bowl, combine beef strips, soy sauce, cooking wine, baking soda and cornstarch and mix until well-incorporated.
  • Set aside and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  • Sauce
  • In a bowl, combine oyster sauce, cooking wine, brown sugar, ground black pepper, white vinegar and black beans. Mix well until blended. Then, set aside.
  • Sauteing
  • In a skillet over medium heat, add cooking oil.
  • Add garlic and saute until it turns light golden brown.
  • Add ginger and saute. Let it release its juice and aroma.
  • Add dried crushed red pepper and saute until all ingredients are well-combined.
  • Add the marinated beef strips into the pan and stir fry the meat until it turns pale brown.
  • Add broccoli into the pan and stir fry for about a minute.
  • Add bok choy and stir fry about about a minute.
  • Then, add the sauce mixture.
  • Saute for about a couple of minutes to keep the vegetables' crisp.
  • Turn off the heat and transfer into a bowl.
  • Serve with steamed rice on the side. Enjoy!


I use black beans in can for this recipe.
