Spicy Beef Broccoli

Spicy Beef Broccoli is a classic Chinese-American dish that combines tender beef with crispy broccoli in a savory and spicy sauce. It's a simple yet satisfying meal that can be made at home with a few basic ingredients. To make Spicy Beef Broccoli, start by marinating sliced beef in a mixture of soy sauce, rice wine, corn starch, and sesame oil. This will help to tenderize the beef and add flavor. Next, stir-fry the marinated beef in a hot pan until it is browned and cooked through. While the beef is cooking, prepare the broccoli by cutting it into florets and blanching it in boiling water. This will help to retain its bright green color and crisp texture. Once the beef is cooked, add the blanched broccoli to the pan and stir-fry for a minute or two. For the spicy sauce, mix together oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, chili paste, and chicken broth. Pour the sauce over the beef and broccoli, and continue to stir-fry until the sauce is heated through and the broccoli is coated in the sauce. Serve the Spicy Beef Broccoli over steamed white rice or with a side of fried rice. It can also be served with chow mein noodles or with steamed bao buns for a hearty and flavorful meal. To make it more spicy, you can add more chili paste or chili flakes. You can also add some sliced bell peppers or carrots for some color and added crunch. Additionally, you can adjust the amount of oyster sauce and hoisin sauce to your taste. Spicy Beef Broccoli is a great dish for a weeknight dinner, as it comes together quickly and easily. It's also perfect for entertaining, as it can be made in advance and reheated when ready to serve. With its bold flavors and satisfying texture, it's sure to be a hit with both adults and kids.
